Rebreather Cross-Over Course

General Information

If you're a certified rebreather diver on another unit, and would like to crossover to either the Submatix Quantum, Flex CCR, X-CCR, JJ-CCR, Liberty CCR or AP Inspiration or Vision 2020, this rebreather crossover course is for you. Very simply, you'll learn the ins and outs of these other units, and how they are similar to and differ from your current rebreather.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED?

• Minimum age of 18
• Provide proof of 20 logged CCR dives with minumum of 20 hours
• Certified as an existing CCR Air Diluent Diver
• You will need to fill out a self-certification medical statement.

COURSE DURATION:

No less than 180 minutes in water training during 2 days in 2-4 dives.

• Comparison of open circuit (OC), closed circuit, and semi-closed circuit, rebreather (SCR) systems noting the pros and cons of each
• Practical mechanics of the system
• Gas physiology
• Proper scrubber packing: in accordance with manufacturers recommendation
• Electronic or manual systems design and maintenance
• Dive tables
• Dive computers
• Dive planning
• Emergency procedures
• Dive checklists
• Pre-dive checks

PRACTICE IN WATER:

Confined Water Sessions

• Practice of SCUBA diving equipment configuration including redundancy and streamlining
